Edibility
Please note: this site is dedicated to fungi as wildlife. It’s focus is the advancement of science, the conservation of fungi and education for curious minds. In this spirit, we strongly encourage people to think of fungi differently, not only something to eat. We are also keen to avoid people being poisoned based on identifications offered here. For this reason, any ID requests for edibility purposes will be removed. Thank you for your understanding.

Fungi ID requests (post here if you aren’t sure what type of fungus you’ve found)
Please try to include photos to show all parts of the fungus, eg top, stem, and gills.
Note any smells, and associated trees or plants (eg oak, birch). A spore print can be very useful.
