The one on the left has been infected by a Hypomyces
As I said in my original reply I have no updated knowledge of SS. I have seen it a few times but almost exclusively on wood. Almost all fungal attacks on grass are caused by a l lack of something stressing out the plants. This can be lack of nutrients, a lack of air (compaction) or too much thatch giving rise to excessive fungal growth.
As a general guide good maintenance tends to work most of the time and would lead to the “balance” you are looking for

As far as I can see your first suggestion is none UK and the second is very rarely recorded so I think it is unlikely you will get a confirmation from just these photos. Leucogyrophana mollusca supposedly prefers conifer logs so a pointer away from your find.
Sorry to be so negative.

A belated welcome to the forum. I think the reason you have had no replies is that it has been missed by most is because it is under the Microscope heading not general id. I think these are just Laccaria laccata rather than L tortillis which tends to prefer wetter areas and is usually found as a small contorted groups. Yours are showing the distorted growth which often happens in Laccaria. It does have a name but I cannot think of it at the moment. Hopefully someone else will post that name.
