The one that I’m looking at now is this one: http://www.apexmicroscopessecure.co.uk/store/Apex-Practitioner.html#SID=9 I think I’m also gonna get the Starter’s kit and the Apex Minigrab. That’s all that’s really in my price range and not OUT OF STOCK!

Is the colour of the spore mass the colour of the fruiting body overall?
Do you want a photo of the fruiting bodies without flash? It will show the colour more truthfully but it is of poor quality.
And also I have no access to a microscope at all!

😳 I went out for half an hour just now in a gap in the terrible weather, but didn’t find much. I found this Slime Mould (posted in the Myxo forum) but no Eyelash Fungi or Nettle Clustercup despite there being huge patches of Stinging Nettle near us.

But looking at the NBN Gateway map for Puccinia urticata the nearest record is about 30 miles away from us.
[attachment=0]NBN Gateway map for Nettle Clustercup.png[/attachment] OK!! I guess I’m more of a naturalist than a baker… but now I know that if I do make bread then if the flour smells like St George’s Mushroom, it’s good! 
What does St George’s Mushroom usually smell like? I have a mild cold so I’m not smelling as well as I usually do. 
I’m going to try to find Mitrula paludosa on Sunday at Ashdown Forest, I’ve never seen it before and it’s such a beautiful little fungus! 
Having read this post with interest, I thought I had seen something similar on Hollyberry Cotoneaster in my garden. Here is the photo:
