Found in the first week of November at the top of Butser Hill, Hampshire. There were two specimens that had been kicked over/uprooted, the larger (unphotographed) was barely intact, but was flat, 4 cm in diameter, dry and the same colour as that photographed but with a paler margin. The smaller one (photographed) was largely in tact had a convex 2.5cm diam. cap with two notable folds. The colour was a pale vinaceous grey. Gills were a pale grey with almost white margins, and emarginate. Some of the gills were furcate/forked. Stipe was 2cm long, slightly fibrillose and damaged, paler than the cap colour and with yellowish flesh where the stipe was damaged. First thoughts were thus Hygrocybe flavipes, but the gill attachment and the spores dont look a good match. Spores were 5-6 x 3.5-4.5 um. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks as always

You could look at Dermoloma cuneifolium.

The cap colour doesn’t look right but it can have this texture and the other features look OK

A good call and worthy contender.
