      Hi all

Can’t make any headway in identifying this recent Hampshire find. Waxy cap diameter 6 cm with free, distant gills of uneven length. Stipe 5cm long.

Spore print a dark reddish brown, the same colour as the cap and gills which have dried darker than the photo (much rain here over last few days)

Any help with an id or family most appreciated.

Looks like one of the 1000+ species of Cortinarius. Good luck with that one ;)
