Hi everyone,
I’m new to this wonderful site, and I’m hoping for help with identifying two fungi so I can correctly log them on iRecord.
I’ll post them separately.
First: Cap approx. 4cm, pale beige, with darker umbo, slimy to touch. Height 10cm, stem covered in fibrous scales. Small cluster found on verge of track in mixed woodland, 01 November 2017, Hay Wood, Warwickshire.
Initial ID: Sticky Scalycap – Pholiota gummosa
The colouration and stem appear similar but not the gills!
Thanks for any help.
Nick
