          Quite possible Dave, many thanks – although that is a strong contender, I fear I cant really get further -an oft repeated story!

          I think I’ll leave as just genus Marasmius/marasmiellus for the mo and try to find it again for better details to get to species level. Probably needs microscopy to do that for sure…………… 😯
