      Growing in mixed woodland not conifer in rings, I have not got a spore print yet but I think it won’t be difficult to identify for someone with a bit of knowledge, purple when bruised slightly wooly on the edges and milk coming out.

        Where was this from? The yellow woolly cap and latex turning violet = Lactarius repraesentaneus. It’s a northern species, pretty much confined to Scotland in the UK.

          This was from around Bala lake in wales, quite alot of them too.
