Photo taken in a hurry. I didn’t have time to take a sample.
This was in mixed woodland (ancient woodland that was overplanted with conifer now being gradually cleared of conifers) under hazel, but birch, oak and willow also present nearby.
I assume it’s a Cortinarius, but I can’t see anything like it in Kibby&Tortelli. Any pointers?
