      Another from a dead Hazel twig, SW Ireland – might this be Celothelium ischnobelum?

      A small patch of thin whitish-green thallus with black perithecia approx 0.3-0.4 mm in diameter.

      The spores were acicular, multi-septate and most 50-60+ x 2 µm.

        Not sure about this. What were the asci like? Some of the hyphal structures you show could be paraphyses?

          Hello Paul – yes I realised after posting, very probably either paraphyses or perhaps (if Celothelium ischnobelum) conidia?

          I didn’t find any mature asci, only what I took to be unsuccessful ones shown in the fourth image, so frustratingly I doubt there’s much hope of getting any further with this!
