Growing on Willow

      Can someone suggest what this might be. One or two growing on a fallen willow maximum size 1cm.

      Tan spores 11um different shapes in profile. Two spored basidia and lageniform cystidia some with fingers

        Hi Mal,

        Characteristics & Willow substrate look good for Phaeomarasmius erinaceus.

          Thanks for that Mike that’s the one. Not surprised I didn’t know about it the last time it was found in N Yorks was 1913 😮 and even I’m not that old.

            Somebody who shall remain nameless but has the initials CSVY did id a specimen in N W Yorks back in 1988;)
