A small bracket on a stump on the side of the road, a favourite spot for fungi.

      Hi Jimmy,

Which Hairy Bracket species are you thinking of?

If it’s Hairy Curtain Crust – Stereum hirsutum, then no, not with the pores that can be seen in the second photo.

Do you have any close-up photos of an entire bracket – showing both top, and bottom surfaces?

      Regards,

      Mike.

I was thinking of Hairy Curtain Crust, but if it’s not that then never mind.

No, sorry, these were the only two photos I have. What are the possibilities?

Others might be more confident, but I’d be guessing. Hence asking if you had any more photos – possibly showing more characteristics.

        Regards,

        Mike.

Ok, that’s fine. I’ll see if I have time to get any more photos soon. Thanks for looking though!
