Question about Parmotrema perlatum

Post by GERAULT »

For Parmotrema perlatum it is said:
_ BLS: medulla and yellow soralia with K.
_ AFL: medulla and red soralia with K.
We found on the same colony of what we think is Parmotrema perlatum the two reactions on the soralia:
yellow on Parmotrema perlatum in the shade and red on Parmotrema perlatum in the sun. So should we correct the AFL and BLS by providing details? or is Parmotrema perlatum a species that contains several taxa? (or it is not Parmotrema perlatum ...).

Are you sure the thalli in the sun are not Parmotrema reticulatum? I think I can see some areas with fine reticulations in some pictures.

Here is a larger photograph, indeed we can think of Parmotrema reticulatum or better Parmotrema pseudoreticulatum but also Parmotrema stuppeum (which I do not know) which would be close to Cetrelia.
