Mayweed fungus

Fungus on mayweed (unfortunately I did not id species) - seems to match description and photos in "Welsh Downy Mildews" Can anyone confirm please?

Forgot to say I think it might be Paraperonospra leptosperma!

Presumably you checked that the discoloration was being caused by a downy mildew (tiny "trees" visible with a x10 lens); if so then it has to be that species.

Seriously under-recorded (like many DM's) - for example only 4 records in Yorkshire.

Depends where it was found . . . this is where it would be useful if in their personal status data people could at least indicate their home county

I have just refound the plant and I think the same infection - rather poor quality LP microscope photos but they may help

Sorry - I thought I has responded to this but clearly not. Yes quite correct - you have done all the right things - got the "mini-trees" in profile, and the images are quite adequate for the purpose.
