Hyphomycete

Post by Chris Johnson » Tue Mar 10, 2020 11:09 am

Growing on the dead stems and leaves of Triteleia laxa.
Conidia smooth, 0-3–septate, 8.8-14.7 x 4.6-5.9 µm.
Possibly one of the numerous Cladospora species, but I am unable to key it out so any help welcome.

Regards, Chris

Not easy (even with the specimen, probably). Perhaps a species of Dendryphiella. I can't track down anything from the host that it might be, but it may well be saprotrophic and therefore not host-specific. Sorry not to be of more help...

Thanks for looking, Paul. I wasn't too optomistic as I know how difficult they can be. As we were in the teeth of another gale I grabbed something from the greenhouse. :)
Cheers, Chris
