Re: Mixtoconidium canariense on Ramalina lacera?
Many thanks for the reply Neil. Those conidia were examined under the microscope in a drop of K so I've just done another in water but similar measurements - 11-15 x 3.5-5 um most c12.5 x 5um, microconidia present 5-6 x 1. The conidiomata size in the linked paper is much larger than that given in th...

Mixtoconidium canariense on Ramalina lacera?
Lichenicolous on several Ramalina lacera thallii on a Horse Chestnut in Co. Limerick, Ireland. Conidia abundant, 1-septate 12.5-15 x 5 µm. Is this Mixtoconidium canariense? From the lichenicolous draft keys: "Conidia 1-septate, ellipsoid, often slightly constricted at the septum, 10-13 x 3.5-4(-4.5)...

Re: Physcia clementei?
Did you compare your specimen with some of the photographs of Physcia clementei on the Lichens marins website as many of those have similar lobes?

Oomycete - Peronospora chenopodii-polyspermi
I hope its ok to post an Oomycete - Peronospora chenopodii-polyspermi causing noticeable yellow patches on leaves of Chenopodium polyspernum in Dorset yesterday. No idea what the distribution might be as there are no records on the NBN but I doubt if that means much! z Peronospora chenopodii-polyspe...

Thanks Chris - my notifications must have gone awol as I hadn't realised you'd replied. It was compost from municipal green so heaven only knows what was in the mix!

Two species of Peziza on compost?
These seem to be two different Peziza's found on woody compost - tentatively are they P. varia and P. vesiculosa? The first (?varia) had spores 20-22 x 12 µm, the second smaller ones (?vesiculosa) spores 16-17 x 11 µm. It was difficult to see whether or not the asci tips of the first were KI +blue, ...

Re: Ampelomyces quisqualis on Podosphaera
Many thanks for the reply Chris, and for your email.
I've come across Eudarluca caricis a couple of times (on Melampsora populnea and M. euonymi-caprearum) but might well have missed or not been able to identify it previously

Ampelomyces quisqualis on Podosphaera
Found on Pyrus communis leaves today and I thought possibly Podosphaera until I looked under the microscope....... Re: Lichenicolous on Ochrolechia parella
Thanks for the reply Chris.
I couldn't understand why I had no spore details but finally managed to find the specimen and realised why - a scrappy collection of rock crumbs with a note on the packet saying "gone mouldy, no spores found".
So not a hope!

Lichenicolous on Ochrolechia parella
I came across this photograph of a lichenicolous fungus on Ochrolechia parella, coastal SW Ireland 2012 and wondered if anyone might have come across anything similar on Ochrolechia to suggest a possible identification? z spC1 1201310012 Och parella.jpg z spC1 1201310012b Och parella.jpg z spC1 1201...

Re: What is the current name for Daisy Rust
Hi Posch - it looks like the answer might depend on the source you use. Here's a link to Bladmineerders where the jury still seems to be out as regards the occurrence of Puccinia lagenophorae on Bellis perennis: https://bladmineerders.nl/parasites/fungi/basidiomycota/pucciniomycotina/pucciniales/puc...
