Cobalt Crust Terana caerula

Photo taken 12/06/2020 :) Cheating a little as I have been nurturing under a fern in my garden Glamorgan VC41. On fern stem and fencing off cut. This is well out of normal season but VC41 seems to be a hot spot for this....

Out of 325 records on ADERYN (all Wales LERC) database about 80pct in Glamorgan VC41. Not sure if VC41 is really such a hot spot or because we have good dedicated record...

Hi, Not sure where your find but generally in England not common. In Scotland rarely seen. However Glamorgan VC41 seems to be frequent :)
3 locations within 300m of my garden last week and I'm sure a lot more that I didn't see on a brief walk!

Known in France as Coeur de Sorcière, the Sorcerer's Heart ...a bit more prosaic than Red Cage :) Seems to occur in coastal locations southern England, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands. Only 1 record in Glamorgan V...
