Re: I think these are

Welcome to Uk Fungi. :) Firstly, well done for taking a spore pint although the mushroom has made its own spore print on the one below! This can be a time saver. Having brown spores rules out Ostreatus spp plus you would expect no stem or a reduced off-centre stem and it would be growing on wood (as...

Re: Can anyone identify? Please

If the OP comes backs (to thank people for theior replies, perhaps) I would also ask why you want to remove fruit bodies? The main body of the fungus is in the soil or wood and cannot be removed without drastic measures that do more harm than good. Fungi play a crucial role in breaking down plant ma...

Yes, I agree with that (before I even read your description!)
See the serrated gill edges.

Re: Agaricus: arvensis or xanthodermus?

Yes, definitely part of the xanthodermus group with that bright yellow. The colour change within seconds or minutes?
Odd about the smell, sometimes you get it only in the stem base.

Re: Fungi Identification

Is this called Mycena Common Bonnet? I didn't know there was a species called "Common Bonnet" - such English names are confusing, as what is common in one part of the world (or even Britain) is uncommon or nonexistent elsewhere. There are around 100 species of Mycena in the Uk and mostly ...

Re: Found in garden bed

If you let us know your location, we can put you in touch with a local fungus group, or better still, edit your profile to put a location in. County or town is enough, privacy is of course important to all of us. I also think this is best cataloging of the lifecycle of a mushroom I've ever seen exce...

Re: Fungi Identification

Your fungus (singular as only one species) is a Mycena species. [moved to ID requests from general fungi forum]

Another day or two and we'll see the gills.
I think this is still in the right area. If its still intact, you could dry a piece and someone in your local fungi group might be willing to do microscopy
