Re: tiny 3mm diameter white fungi on mossy oak branch

Mike, thank you again. I think the caps and stems have granules. I couldn't see the base of the stems. Here are a couple more photos.

The Wikipedia page said that Mycena olida had a cap diameter up to 15mm. None of the ones I saw had a cap diameter over 5mm, most were 2 - 3mm.

Re: tiny 3mm diameter white fungi on mossy oak branch

Thank you Mike. If I can get a better photo tomorrow I'll post it.

They are so tiny. Are they common in the UK?

tiny 3mm diameter white fungi on mossy oak branch

Hi, seen today on Exmoor, north Devon. They were in several places on the living oak tree. Caps 3 to 4mm in diameter. Does anyone know what they are?

Re: unknown fungi found in grass under beech tree

I didn't think to measure it at the time and when I went back it had gone, so the dimensions I gave were estimates from memory. In all the images in the link you gave the specimens were umbrella shaped. This one was slightly funnel-shaped. Now it's fruited, can I hope to see more near by? How long m...

Re: unknown fungi found in grass under beech tree

Thank you Adam. I was searching using words like ruff and tutu and failed to find its name. I've never seen one before. Is it common in the UK?

unknown fungi found in grass under beech tree

This was seen in a field in north Devon, UK on 13 June, 2019. Disk approximately 40mm diameter, the stem about 3mm. It was on its own.

It's beautiful and I'd love to know its name.
