Rust on Spindle (Euonymus europaeus) found on Fishchowter’s Lane here in Totnes, South Devon.
The genus is Melampsora but the species is more confusing. it may be epitea (as seen on Salix) or possibly euonymi-caprearum or some sort of species complex that we don’t quite understand yet.
