Microbotryum saponariae

Howdo folks, in my quest to avoid social media madness I am returning to the bread and butter approach and hoping to make a good contribution here and hopefully improve the knowledge. Just to start, the rust-man that is Chris Yeates says the attached is a first for Yorkshire so I thought I would share it – http://www.fungalpunknature.co.uk/Fungi/MicroFungi/Microbotryum%20saponariae.html

I have been checking Soapwort for this smut whenever I come across the plant and then, when not looking it turns up – such is this Fungal world
