      Hi everyone,

      These are in my garden on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Some have a distinct opening on the cap. The cap seems insufficiently peaked for Galerina hypnorum.

      They have a sweet, almost lemony smell.

      Thanks in advance for help with identifying this.

        Looks like they are Cedarwood Waxcaps.

        The smell should have a hint of cologne.

          Smell often described a “Russian leather” or Cedarwood pencils”

          Which probably isn’t much help.

            Thanks Steve and Gary. They do smell of cedar. The smell is mild and pleasant. I’ve no idea what Russian leather smells like. I wouldn’t say they smell of cologne.
