      Hello,

      This bramble stem with tiny black microfungi were found at Knepp Estate, West Sussex a few days ago. I have attached a couple of photos taken at the time however I still have the stem so if further images or details are needed, please let me know and I will try my best.

        That doesn’t look like a bramble stem to me. I would say Hogweed or something similar. Sorry can’t help with the fungus.

          Hi Simon, I was sure it was broken off from a longer stem with thorns :? no Hogweed, or any other umbellifers, around at all!
