Quite a lot of this on the banks of Weir Wood Reservoir, infecting the stem and flower head of Meadowsweet.

And therefore best called Podosphaera filipendulae (something I’ve just learned myself – hence my detailed response to Mike’s post)

Thank you both, annoyingly it was the only fungus seen today at the Weir Wood Reservoir open day. Plenty of moths and birds though, including a rare immigrant moth which has probably only been seen in the UK around 10 times! :D

Hi Jimmy, good to see you have posted this on iSpot. As I have said to iSpot Admin I view this site as complementary to iSpot. 1 (only) poster had complained to iSpot about my comments suggesting people try this Forum and my comments were marked ‘inappropriate’ and deleted!

Admin obviously didn’t tell me and I will not post my suspicion here.
