Tuckermanopsis chlorophylla with lichenicolous fungus

Post by Heather P » Mon Aug 05, 2019 9:00 pm

Tuckermanopsis chlorophylla on pine with bleached area with numerous tiny black dots. The conidia (I assume) are 3.5x3.5 clear.
Any help with ID please.

Heather

Appears not to be in Hawksworth's draft keys, so I am stumped, so presumably either not described, described since 2010 or new to the area.

Thanks Neil. I wondered if this is something fairly common but not recorded on this host. I will packet it up for later examination.

Heather

Yes I was ignoring hosts when running through the key, but still could not match it to anything.

Others with more lichenicolous experience than me might have a idea?
