Thanks for th update Dave, I noticed you were using T. meylanii on your website. Good to know - I don't have that supplement yet.

I didn't even need to go looking for this one - I noticed a small group of them growing behind a sample of Stemonitis I was investigating.

I seem to still be hogging the myxo section, but as long as nobody minds.. here's another.

Trichia affinis, found in Northumberland recently.

Which microscope and camera are you using for your micro images?

This camera https://micro-science.co.uk/product/mic ... th-usb3-0/

Although I think this camera is as good and uses the same excellent software https://micro-science.co.uk/product/mic ... lcmos-5mp/

Probably best if we open another thread somewhere if you would like to discuss further.

Cheers,

John

Stunning photos, well beyond the abilities of my mere 105 macro lens ....

I saw this today and had no idea what it was - a steer from Sterry and Hughes' Collins fungi Guide points me in the direction of a slime mould, some sort of Stemonitis fusca??? It was slightly more lilac-coloured than the photo shows.

Yes, it looks like it could be a Stemonitis that has been attacked by a fungus.

Thanks Adam.

Here's another shot of the same species taken more recently.
