Fragrant butterbur fungus

Purple spotting of Petasites fragrans leaf - I think this is Ramularia purpurascens

Hi Mark
providing you can see the white tufts of conidia on the underside of these spots that's exactly what it is. Probably almost ubiquitous on this host in my experience, but (of course) under-recorded . . . .

I will look at the undersides of leaf in more detail - it seems to be everywhere
