Phaeosphaeria luctuosa

One of a suite of ascomycetes in this genus on monocot's, especially grasses *:

I advise people not to click on that first link, on my PC with Mozilla, I found it opened a new browser pane every second or less, causing mayhem. I'm not sure if it is a virus or a HTML error. It took me a frantic 30 seconds or so to kill it.

thanks Leif - sorry about that, not intentional obviously . . . :oops: I tested it a couple of times (and just now) and all is fine on my PC, using Firefox
In any case I'll edit my post so that the image is within UKFungi (I have slapped my own wrist). Perhaps you can now edit your post and the confusion I have unwittingly caused will subside . . .
