Scutellinia pseudotrechispora

Post by Flaxton » Sun Jun 19, 2016 10:00 pm

I found a few very short haired Scutellinia amongst a huge patch of Scutellinia crucipila. A look at the spores made an id pretty easy Scutellinia pseudotrechispora.

Hi Mal
I'm full of admiration for your Scutellinia work - mind you they seem to follow you around (perhaps you are a secret Scutellinia deity :) ) I rarely come across them - are most of these from the Strensall area?
see you at the weekend

Thanks Chris,
Most of the finds are within just a few miles of home. Either in the woodland of Castle Howard or the Foresty Commision land a bit further north plus a few from Askham Bog.
Looking forward to this weekend.

Another nice Sutellinia Mal. That's a nice shot of the spores - well spotted amongst the S. crucipila!
