Polyporus squamosus?

I saw these fungi growing on a dead tree today in rural Aberdeenshire. I think They are probably Polyporus squamosus but cannot be sure. Can you help?

Hi, and welcome to UK Fungi.

I think you can safely say that is definitely P.squamosus.

Nothing with similar macro characteristics, (I'm thinking of P.tuberaster), would grow with such a large grouping and to such a large size.
