Hello Adam,

Thanks for attending to my query.
I have been making progress on these Russula pellis features.
Firstly, Geoffrey Kibby did admit that R ochroleuca has cystidia in the pellis which resemble dermatocystidia and he will be revising his key in this respect. That had been the main thing which threw me.

Secondly, I did get a Russula caerulea which has only fuchsinophile cystidia and using Cresyl Blue was able to see these very well, but not at all with Plaqsearch, tho' the latter shows up the dermatocystidia. I am posting a photo which may show these up.

They look like fuschinophile hyphae to me, but the photo is a bit unclear.
I have cropped it to make it easier to see (well done on posting larger images though!)

Hi,

Mike did advise me to crop out the black surround, but just in a bit of a hurry this week.
Shall aim to do such in future.
