Lonicera Leaf-mines

Post by CJohnsonOHBR » Thu Oct 08, 2015 1:58 pm

When checking leaves for micro-fungi (for Chris Johnson) I often find interesting fauna.
The illustrated leaf-mines were found on honeysuckle (Lonicera periclymenum) and using the excellent British Leafminers website I made a tentative identification of Chromatomyia lonicerae.
Other opinions and comments would be appreciated.

Thank you

Christine

I suspect you are correct Christine. You may or may not be aware of this useful resource:

Thank you Chris
I've checked the UK Leaf-miners site too.
This is a species that has not been recorded in the Outer Hebrides before, so I am being cautious with the id.

many thanks

Christine
