Spiny White Galls on Blackthorn Leaves.

Post by Lancashire Lad » Mon Jul 27, 2015 4:00 pm

Found on Saturday, on the leaves of Prunus spinosa - Blackthorn.

I haven't been able to get to the bottom of what caused these - but am assuming some sort of insect related gall.

The larger of the two was about 4mm across, and appears to now be empty!

Any help towards an ID will be much appreciated.

Mike.
