Cladonia squamosa?

Post by Steve » Sun Feb 21, 2016 5:19 pm

This was on a gritstone wall, in peaty moorland and birch woodland at Longshaw. I keyed it out as C. squamosa from Dobson, mostly because of the scales on the podetia, and the occasional rough cups. The KOH reaction was negative. It's apparently very variable, so I'm a bit hesitant with this one.
