Kew Lost & Found Project.

Post by Lancashire Lad » Mon Jul 27, 2015 7:19 pm

A worthy project from the people at Kew, encouraging the search for some British species notable by their scarcity, or absence from recent records.

General overview of the project: - ... ly-ignored

Well worth taking a look at the monthly reports in the "Report Archive" , and noting the species on the "Top 100 Fungi list", all of which can be found via links on the project website: - ... gi-project

I'd encourage everyone to actively look for one or two of the species in question, and report any finds accordingly.

Common sense is not so common.

Agree with Mike a worthwhile Project (despite what mj may say!). I'm on a mission for Kew to try and find Chrysomyxa pirolata Pyrola Rust also keeping an eye out for others on the list.

I actually agree with a lot of what MJ says but I have and will continue to support the L&F project and in fact almost any project that will/might help mycology in the UK.
