Not from today and not UK but interesting fungus Clathrus ruber in coastal Brittany. Known in France as Coeur de Sorcière, the Sorcerer's Heart ...a bit more prosaic than Red Cage :) Seems to occur in coastal locations southern England, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands. Thanks Chris. It seems to be very variable - photos from Larch looked very different but were checked microscopically. Have you managed to open link to Ginkgo leaf fungus GFG fb?
