Re: Problems Accessing BMS E-Journals?

Hi, I noticed the same problem when I tried to follow the link from the email notification. However, when I entered the web address I normally use..
www.sciencedirect.com/bms
..everything worked. Maybe it was just the email link that was faulty?

Re: Panaeolus?

Hi Adam,
Funga Nordica spore sizes could provide useful information - they give widths as 6-8 (fimicola) or 5-6 (reticulatus). I think your measurements include face-view measurements as well as side view.

Re: Small Entoloma with depressed cap

Wonder if this is E politum. Habitat seems OK. I usually find with Salix, but FN indicates Alnus as well.

Re: Mycena?

Think you will find this is an entoloma - something close to E serrulatum or, more likely given the apparent brownish colours, E caesiocinctum.

Re: Scratched condenser

Hi Adam,
For information - sevice/repair manuals, specifications etc. for olympus microscopes, worth looking at Alan Woods' site http://www.alanwood.net/

Might give some dimensions of the condenser.

Re: South and West Wales Fungus Forum

Thanks Mark - good team effort all round.

I attach a couple of Mike Crutchley's pics - reckon the second one would do really well for a caption contest.

Best regards...David.

Re: Fungus Of The Day

Nice pic by Fiona from NBGW day. I think Bruce said this was King stropharia - a wood chip specialist only recently recorded in the UK. Some good info on the First Nature website - link below...

Re: waxcaps

Hello Mike,

If you go the online UK checklist (CBIB) www.basidiochecklist.info and navigate to the updates page, there is a pdf file for 2015 updates which includes the new waxcap names currently recognised in the UK.
