Oh.. i just see the sticky up top. Guess there isn't one then. So just get a collection of books is best. Mushroom books

Hi, could anyone recommended a good comprehensive book on Mushrooms/Fungi for UK/Europe. I already have a few but often cant find what I've found.

Woodland mushroom's i found today.

Hi, found some lovely mushrooms out walking in woods today. I've had a good look in my books since i got home and i have tried to ID them, i'm new to this so it would be nice if the experts could confirm or correct me...Please.. Thanks Alan, i'm learning. I never expected it to be so hard to pin point when i found them, amazing how diverse fungi are. Interesting stuff. Thanks everyone.

Hello, I don't think it is. this species is even more scaly, grows in woodland, smells distinctly like almonds, is yellowing distictly when bruised and has a different habit throughout (bigger, with flater cap ...) Hello, I don't think it is A. augustus. this species is even more scaly, grows in woodland, smells distinctly like almonds, is yellowing distictly when bruised and has a different habit throughout (bigger, with flater cap ...) To me, they look like . Was there any colour change when sliced in half lengthways? Mike had genuine concerns due to the fact you had collected so many of them.
