Re: Clear jelly?

Thanks for the reply. I am having problems getting photos onto the posts. It is not me.. I know what to do. They appear correctly in the preview, then disappear when I submit the post. As it displayed 2 out of 3, I left it at that, as it had taken three attempting get it to display more than one! Ad...

Clear jelly?

Hi,

These large lumps of clear jelly were growing on beech, on a very wet day, and were much larger than previous Exidia that I have seen. Would they be E. nucleata? I couldn't see or feel any inclusions.

Re: ? Inonotus

OK, thank you. I must have mis_remembered where I saw, what, as mostly I was in a beech wood, but did spend time in a small area of conifers.

? Inonotus

Hi, I found this growing on beech, and it is a new one to me. I wondered if it is Inonotus nodulosus?

White bracket

Hi, I found this large bracket growing on the top of a beech stump. it was about 20cm across. It's colouring made me think of Trametes gibbosa, but it was thin and flat, whereas I thought T. gibbosa was usually thicker. But I have noticed the comment in the new Kibby that much thinner fruit bodies c...

Re: Lots of brown 'funnels' on grassland

The unimproved grassland where this was growing is short, coastal and sheep grazed, and has a variety of waxcaps, plus Geoglossum, Clavulinopsis, and many Entolomas. I suspect that if I understand you correctly, that also indicates it might be obbata. If I come across it again I will collect a speci...

Is this Heterobasidium annosum?

Please can you tell me if this looks right for Heterobasidium annosum? It was growing at the base of a pine tree.

Thank you
